We have a range of full kilt outfits, trews full suit and individual pieces to choose from, however these are not an exhaustive list at Taylor Made Kilts. We can tailor to your bespoke requirements (adult male / female and boys) whether that be a different style of jacket, different buttons, bespoke sporran, special weave kilt and so on. 

Examples of bespoke options, to name a few:

  • There are many different ways to pleat a kilt at the back, which we are able to offer our customers, for example pleating to a coloured stripe within the kilt and not just to a standard set.
  • Your bespoke choice allows the customers jacket/waistcoat to be tailored in the specific size that fits properly E.g If a customer has a 43″ chest, a 45” abdomen and sleeve length of 25″, these are exact sizes used.
  • You can choose from a range of different buttons for your bespoke jacket and waistcoat, from deer horn, antique, chrome.
  • Why not choose a coloured lining for your bespoke jacket and waistcoat to match the kilt that is pleated to stripe of the colours in your tartan trews?
  • We also have the ability to allow you to build-their-own sporran that is completely bespoke to you. Our customers can choose the style, cantle, the fur, whether they want it suede lined in their chosen colour, what sporran chain they want, what type of tassels and how many (3 or 5), criss-cross or straight chains, what types of tassel bells, antique, chrome etc.
  • There are quite a few different levels of brogues from cheap budget, right up to full tap heel and top end leather upper and sole. We offer the top end of this range.
  • Our hose (socks) are of the best luxury merino wool blend
  • We can match clan kilt pins, with clan belt buckles and clan brooches
  • In order to make sure that our customers outfits fit, we offer two personal and professional measuring services to make sure that the measurements are exactly what our customers require. For those who can come into the shop, we offer a face to face service and for those are not able, we offer a service on zoom, where we are able to make sure that measurements taken are accurate for a bespoke outfit.
  • We also offer and individualise bespoke trews, ladies’ skirts, shawls, tartan ties, plaids, flashes, stoles etc using the same quality of cloth and service as above. We don’t just focus on men, we have proudly and successfully made ladies’ kilts, ladies’ trews, ladies’ full kit outfits etc.
  • We’ll be happy to sit down in the shop, talk online or over the phone with you and help you make the right choices, using our extensive knowledge and suppliers, along with the large selection of sample swatch books to help you with your choice of tartan and jackets.  Please allow around 12 – 14 weeks (if the cloth is in stock) for the making of your bespoke outfit, suit or individual pieces.

We can also order in specific special weave tartan for you where the chosen tartan is not available from the mill, which will incur additional charges, however the weave / completion time is considerably longer so make sure you leave plenty of time and plan ahead.
